Friends of Sherry Post press conference
Our hard efforts paid off. We provided Sherry and Steve with a platform. Rallied 132 organizations to a public show of support for the judges decision to stand. Reaffirmed ties with CAPAC members. Inaugurated use of social media, connecting to more people and raising awareness outside of WeChat. Combined, 85 people were watching via livestream, in addition to the 30 odd people in the room. Did more media outreach than previously. Actively collaborated in a multi-organization team. Got new partners and volunteers. Gave the community new web resources, and strategies to participate via letter writing or tweeting.
Folks, we didn’t plan an event only, we did a national campaign. In 2 weeks.
Kudos to each and every one of you. Great to see several volunteers pitch in to assist. Please thank them again. Davace, Ed, Albert, Joel, we know you were available in spirit. Thanks very much for planning by remote.
Thanks for your trust in putting me at the podium when you had no idea what I would say!
